Asthma UK Scotland is the charity dedicated to helping people with asthma in Scotland. We provide resources for those with the condition as well as healthcare professionals who are treating them. We campaign and lobby for a better deal for people with asthma and provide research funding to develop better treatments for the condition.
At least 5.4 million people in the UK have asthma, including one in ten children. Every seven hours somebody dies from asthma, yet 90% of these deaths could be prevented by improved education and care. At Asthma UK we are working to prevent needless deaths by understanding more about the causes and treatments of asthma. You can help by running, jogging or walking for Asthma UK Scotland and raising the vital funds we need to continue our work.
