Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland's leading specialist dementia charity working throughout the country to provide care and support to people with dementia, their families and carers.
Alzheimer Scotland believes no one should go through dementia on their own. We provide practical services from over 60 sites throughout Scotland offering day care, home support and carer support groups. We publish booklets, reports and a quarterly newsletter keeping carers, people with dementia and professionals up to date.
Our public policy work directed to lobbying the Scottish Parliament and Westminster includes policy analysis, briefings and activities to raise public awareness. We also carry out medical and social research.
Our 24 hour Dementia Helpline (0808 808 3000) and our website at www.alzscot.org provide expert information about dementia and the services of Alzheimer Scotland With over 60,000 people in Scotland with dementia, demand for our help continually increases. We rely on fundraising to provide services such as our Dementia Helpline, Dementia Advisors and Dementia Nurses, and to fund research. We would be delighted to welcome you to our team!
